Hecker/Lane: IP Residence

House Information:
20 x 20 lot on an unnamed barrier island in Isla Paradisio.
2 aquatic parking spaces.

House Description:
This island home straddles a barrier island, commanding views of the surrounding water, the distant larger islands,  and the private side yard.

  • Views are of the surrounding islands and ocean.
  • Floor one has an entryway leading to both a large hallway with a good sized master suite and a guest room and to the open concept living area.
  • Floor two contains a massage room (or could be a guest room) and a dedicated guest room. There’s also a full bath and a laundry room.
  • Outside there’s a lush side yard with beehives and work shed, a large deck off the kitchen and living room, as well as a deck wrapped around the master suite and a small deck from the second story (mostly so doors can be opened to let the sea breeze in). To the side of the master suite and down the deck steps, there’s land with trees and plants ready for exploring and down the front main steps is a small private beach and dock.

Fairies In A Tree

Edit: Just realised I had the rear of the house photo twice instead of front and back and that I forgot to set the folder to Public. Fixed. Uploaded a few more photos.

There’s a treehouse in Moonlight falls so I thought I’d try my hand at it.

House Information:
40 x 40 lot at 163 Wood St.
3 bicycle parking spaces.
2 fairy humans.
1 fox, 1 wolf, 1 racoon (big/big/small dogs)

House Description:
This little treehouse is nestled into some leafy greens, surrounded by flowers and across the street from a fairy arboretum.

  • Views are of the lush (albeit very small) surrounding forest of plants and trees.
  • Floor one is accessed from a spiral staircase. It opens into the living/sitting room. On one end of the house is a tv room and a laundry room with stairs leading up. The other side of the house contains a guest bath as well as a kitchen.
  • Floor two‘s landing is as yet unfinished. There could be a third bedroom here for the sun fairy if I had the will to finish it. As I rarely play MF I doubt I will. There’s a bedroom for the gothy fairy as well as a bedroom for the nature fairy. Both bedrooms have a bathroom that’s somewhat open to the outside.
  • Outside there’s plenty of greenspace owing to the fact that the house is elevated off the ground. There’s a carving station as well as a fairy house. On the first floor of the house, the front porch is a decent size and off the kitchen is a large deck dedicated to outdoor dining. The second floor has a small balcony off the second floor landing.
  • Notes: Built from scratch.

Brick Apartments #5

After I built the Hawkins Art Gallery, I was still on a old.. downtown building.. kick and ended up deleting the boring town square in Hidden Springs and making 6 more brick buildings on 5 lots.. all of them apartment buildings.

Apartment Information:
20 x 20 lot at 11 Juniper Lane, Hidden Springs
4 apartments
4 parking spaces

Apartment Description:
This cute little 3 story walk up as quaint little apartments for busy little bees.

  • Views are of the town, lake, and small park out in the middle of all the buildings.
  • Floor 0 is the basement with gym/game room and laundry for residents.
  • Floor 1 contains two apartments. Flat 1 is an economy 1 bed/bath with a tiny patio, flat 2 is a slightly larger economy 1 bed/bath with a tiny yard.
  • Floor 2 contains apartment 3, a 2 bed/bath.
  • Floor 3 contains apartment 4, a 2 bed/bath.
  • Outside, there’s a bit of a view of the lake and of the surrounding town and central park as well as each floor (apartment) having its own small balcony or patio.
  • Notes:
    +
Built from scratch. I don’t currently have anything that truly makes this an apartment, I just wanted it to seem like one for now. There are separate ‘families’ living here, locked out of the flats they’re not supposed to be in.
+ I should’ve put a hall between apartments 1 and 2 that had a door leading to better access to the central park. Oh well. Done. Jiggered some stuff around.

Island House Prototype

The photos and post for this one are a bit erratic. This build wasn’t really finished.

House Information:
64 x 64 lot on an unnamed barrier island in Isla Paradisio.
2 aquatic parking spaces.

House Description:
This island home straddles a barrier island, commanding views of the surrounding water and the private side yard. There’s space for guests, as well.

  • Outside there’s a small private beach, a lush side yard (with an ill-fitting premade pool), and the master bedroom and dining/living room have doors that fully open up to allow sea breezes.
  • Notes: Built from scratch. I started building one house straddling an island, then realised there was another similar island and started building there as well. Then I realised they were very similar in layout. I ended up experimenting with this one then going on to make the other one better for the sims I was going to actually play.

Brick Apartments #4

After I built the Hawkins Art Gallery, I was still on a old.. downtown building.. kick and ended up deleting the boring town square in Hidden Springs and making 6 more brick buildings on 5 lots.. all of them apartment buildings.

Apartment Information:
20 x 41 lot at 59 Subalpine Boulevard, Hidden Springs
8 apartments
7 parking spaces

Apartment Description:
These two four floor walk-ups are great for a few families who enjoy town living but need a little outdoor space (via balconies).

  • Views are of the town, lake, and small park out in the middle of all the buildings.
  • Building One (white):
Floors one and two both have 2 bed, 2 bath flats.
Floor three has a 2 bed, 1.5 bath flat.
Floor four has a 3 bed, 2 bath flat.
  • Building Two (brown):
    Floors one, three, and four
have 1 bed, 1.5 bath flats.
    Floor two
    has a 1 bed, 1 bath flat.
  • Outside, there’s a little bit of green space between the buildings and each floor (apartment) has its own small balcony.
  • Notes:
+Built from scratch. I don’t currently have anything that truly makes this an apartment, I just wanted it to seem like one for now. There’s a family of 8 or 9 living on it, each ‘family’ is locked out of the apartments that aren’t theirs. Post build, for some reason I made all of the residents of building 2 all tall skinny models somewhat themed to their respective apartments (which allowed me to use some hair/clothing i rarely get a good chance to use). The ones of building 1 are mostly just randomized.
+ These are two buildings on one lot. The white building’s apartments are rather bland but the brown building’s apartments have had a little more thought put into their decor.
+ I also just realised the inside of the white brick building consists mostly of shades of brown and the brown building’s interior is mostly white.
+ Kinda wishing I’d kept the Native American inspired furniture bedecked apartment’s floors white like the rest for more cohesiveness.
